I found Penrose's conclusion at the top of p. 589 mysterious, and the reasoning that led to it obscure. After examining the article on Bell's inequality and its CHSH variant in Wikipedia, I came up with the understanding embodied in the attached file. I still don't see how you can come to Penrose's conclusion just by counting up "disagreements."
